Family Essence Captured in One Design
Simplicity and conviviality in the heart of Colmar
As a freelance webdesigner, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the warm and authentic world of “Chez Bilal”, a family restaurant nestling in the heart of Colmar.
My aim was to capture the essence of this friendly place in a striking visual identity. The simple, elegant logo reflects the restaurant's accessibility and generosity, with its gentle curves and clean design. The sign combines tradition and modernity, using sober, welcoming tones. The crossing of the cutlery symbolises the simplicity of family meals, while the words ‘Since 1998’ tell the story of a journey that has lasted over time.
‘Chez Bilal’ is not just a restaurant, it's a promise of gourmet experiences and shared moments, now firmly established in the Colmar landscape.
Meticulous delivery, Authentic taste
To bring the ‘Chez Bilal’ culinary experience right to your doorstep, I created a packaging design that reflects the simplicity and authenticity of the restaurant, even when delivered or taken away. The minimalist aesthetic of the kraft paper packaging reinforces the natural, artisanal aspect, while highlighting the restaurant's family values.
The sticker, proudly bearing the logo, creates an elegant, personalised touch, ensuring that every order arrives with a distinctive visual imprint.
This small but striking detail echoes the history of ‘Chez Bilal’ since 1998, and reminds customers that, even from a distance, they are part of the restaurant's extended family. The design aims to reinforce the image of quality service, where every order becomes a gourmet experience in its own right.
Convivial family meals
In designing the menu for Chez Bilal, my aim was to create a visual experience as tasty as the food on offer.
Inspired by the restaurant's approachable, family atmosphere, I opted for a sober, refined design, where every detail reinforces elegance without neglecting simplicity. The dark background highlights the dishes, while the gold typography adds a discreet touch of elegance, underlining the balance between modernity and tradition.
The clear organisation of the sections, from starters to sauces, makes for easy reading, inviting customers to discover the dishes intuitively. In this way, the menu becomes a genuine showcase for the generosity and culinary diversity of ‘Chez Bilal’, where every choice echoes the spirit of conviviality and sharing.
